I attempted a 50x board repair.

I and not an expert at board repair but im not too bad either. This is one of the best condition boards i had with varta damage. Yes i got it working but it took way to long to ever be profitable, and there is still a lot of damage I didn’t fix. All the components i left off the board are different communications chips.  Hopefully the edited images show just how bad the board is damaged.

Oh those are fun to do eh?  :rotfl: I've done some but I kept the darn things...I said "screw it"....no way I can ever guarantee it.

Thats exactly it. You cant warranty the repair. The leakage on that board was minimal and still it soaked through the board. The only thing i can think of for a long term fix is if someone started making flex pcbs that lay over too the damaged section and replaces every trace in that area.

A lot of machines that were underwater in the Louisiana and Mississippi casino floods were "flooding" the open market. (I HAD to say it! haha)

You should of seen the RUST in them things!

The bottom of the MPU's were probably only in the water a few inches but it's the moisture that eventually crept up on these things.

Then there's people on ebayz selling these suckers that want like $350 "as is"  :Tongue_Out:

I believe it. I have seen flood damaged machines before. I used to do sub contract work for a disaster [size=78%]relief company. They were not too happy when I started rejecting repairs saying they were beyond economic repair. [/size]
