1] yes.

when you first turn on the game, the hopper cutoff relay is unpowered and a switch in it turns on the tilt light.  As soon as the handle release relay trips, the hopper cutoff powers and it shouldn't unpower again unless there's an issue with runaway payout (coins ejecting when the payout counter isn't stepping up).

2] reset button switch (should have yellow and grey/orange wires on it).  It also powers the hopper cutoff relay and is in parallel to the handle release switch.

3] not on schematic.  What color wires are on the switch and can you see where they go?

also, can you post a pic of the entire front of the machine including the payouts on the top glass?

I have the docs for the 1089 and will get them posted onto http://bingo.cdyn.com/slots/ probably early next week.  If you're in the top section, pics of the insert board and inside the cabinet from a few angles can also be helpful.  If you have highest possible resolution pics that this site won't let you upload due to size, please email to slotpics@cdyn.com and I'll include them with the docs.

When is used the reset button ?

The lever of payout reset timing motor  when hopper has  not enough  coins to complete  payout   in under the hopper left side .

the hopper cut-off circuit is mainly to prevent people from sticking a wire up through the coin outlet and holding the hopper coin roller arm up so the payout counter doesn't step.  If the roller arm doesn't go down in the time it takes for a couple coins to eject, the circuit times out and the hopper cut-off relay loses power.  That stops payout by removing power from the payout relay and turns on the tilt light.

if a hopper runs out of coins and the safety circuit shuts down the game (which unpowers the cut-off relay), the casino fills the hopper, resets the safety timer with the bar under the hopper, and pushes the reset button to resume game operation.
