S+ double diamond powers on dbv 200 wont accept anything help please

Problem started with battery replacement error 12. Red light on candle now blinking rapidly and the bill validator is constantly cycling in 1 second intervals. I'm new to this but could use any help available.

You may need to run a Set Denomination chip to enable the bill validator.

I forgot to mention I ran a clear chip and a new set chip also

First: Pull out the bill transport and put some light oil on any moving parts.
Second: Put some light oil on the cam holding the bill head gear.
Third: Put some light oil on the moving parts of the cash can.
Fourth: pull out the cash can and check for debris behind it that may be blocking the rear can optics.
Fifth: Suspect the bill validator power supply.

But before all of that tap your test button till you see a 6 in the coins played meter and make sure your denomination is set there.
Tap the spin button to set the denomination if it is at zero.

Here is a clip still isn't working even though I was able to set demonination. Could something else be set wrong for this to continue to run and not work?

Did the bill acceptor do this before the battery change. What I’m asking is did you just buy this machine, or was it yours and the battery died. With the bill acceptor cycling makes me think the bill heads bad.. I have run into this before on a machine I had bought.

Here are a few things.
1. Is the DBV entry bezel lit up ?? if not the bill validator doesn't think its active. Run the Set Chip again.


2. If the entry bezel is lit this is probably mute but I would also check that your bill validation is active in software. You might have run a set chip but it might not have taken.

3. On the S+ and depending on what firmware you have on your DBV200 it might not accept some (or any) of the new money.
The best is to work with a $1 bill then play around with other denominations.


4. Long shot here...... You didn't by chance do a game change when you changed your battery ? if so the protocol could have changed. Interesting fact the $1 is always accepted regardless of protocol so again I suggest working with a $1.

So I was told it worked but my bet us it had some type of problems before the battery change. The dbv does show the red lights in the bill head are on but I cant get it to take any paper money or even attempt to pull in the bill. It wont stop that cycling soun . I will try and get a video uploade .

How would I know if the bill set chip didnt take or something is wrong with the one I purchased

If you got to the menus and such - I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the chip you have.
Its easy enough to miss a step and not have it saved. This is usually what I forget to do........
