NXT3.2 in my BB1 cab...no video...

Ok, I’ll standby on the PS.  I’ll try the BIOS tomorrow and hopefullly that will be it.

This is what I can do from work. Of course you’d need a 12pin plug and a pin pusher for removing the pins from the ATX plug. Etc.

Its not the Power supply.  He has all the lights and the fans etc.  are all coming up.

My bet is a bad 3.2 board perhaps where the two female DVI connectors attach to it??

Using 2 BB1 PSU's is exactly correct (and what I do)............So if the BIOS swap does not correct the issue, I highly recommend returning to seller for swap or refund!!

Today I was switching my machine back to NXT 2, and lo and behold I have the identical symptoms you have.
I had dropped the logic when taking it out months ago(or more correctly knocked it off the chair I had set it on), so sadly I remembered there could be an issue.
The long/short story was after a couple hours of troubleshooting is the memory stick just needed to be reseated...multiple times, apparently the sockets have plenty of smoke fossilization from it's casino life. The drop must have just nudged it the tiniest bit and the fossilized smoke did the rest until it was sufficiently restored to good contact.

The new BIOS did not help.  I’m beyond frustrated at this point.  You guys in this thread and others have been very helpful, and I really appreciate it.  I had it all staged last week too with the Emotive controller, new PS, cabling, clear card, and game.  I was literally just going to install the NXT3.2 MPU, connect the PS cable to the NXT3.2 MPU, put the clear card in and turn it on.  I was served a big piece of humble pie!  Lol!

Have an oem BB3 harness and another PS coming just to cover the bases.  Still working through this guys...stay tuned and thanks to all those that are offering up help.

Well guys, I guess I need to start over here.  Had several very lengthy technical discussions over the last couple of weeks, and the final result was a refund.


So to the guys that have done the 1 to 3 conversion, please let me know where to get an NXT3.2 MPU with a 04 video card.  I need to finish the Wonka project ASAP.

Wonka is alive and kicking!  Brand new NXT3.2 MPU with 06 version graphics card.  Fired right up and was able to clear and setup with all of the same components as my NXT2.  Voltage output from 2 different BB1 power supplies was the same and within spec on a WMS OEM harness and a custom harness that was made for me to power the MPU.


Found this too.  Looks like there was a lot of funk around the NXT3.2 and video cards for a while:

Also, a newer version of the OS will work, but after spending a couple of weeks comparing it to the original OS, the newer 4069 version introduces some graphical anomalies, missing sounds, and also seems to speed up the Chocolate River and Great Glass Elevator scenes a bit too much. 


Stick with the original.
