Help! Intermittent sound on IGT PE Jacks or Better

Hope someone can help me with this...
We have an IGT PE Jacks or Better machine that is having sound issues.  Volume goes from normal to very low or none.  It's intermittent.  It started when we turned the game off for a few days while we were out of town.  Any ideas?

try cleaning the sound pot, put some alcohol on the sound pot and work it back and forth several times.

Jim is on it, I was gonna suggest the same. And yes, the little disc you turn for the volume is a potentiometer for the sound control often referred to as a "pot". Those tend to get iffy as they age, I was gonna suggest the same. Hope it fixes your PE up and back to normal :)
