Bill validator not accepting bills.
« on: February 10, 2015, 12:44:05 AM »
Hello !

I have igt s+ that wont accept bills.
It started with with a battery swap after i got the 12 error code. After that i got the 61 code when turning it on and i used a clear chip to clear the 61 error code (mabye that's why it's not working at the moment)
I then used the set 086 chip to enable the bill validator and set the area code for my country (27 Norway).
It's now up and running with no error codes and accepts coins.
When i turn it on the usual sounds from the bill validator is there + the lights but nothing happens when i try to insert a bill.
Hope someone can help me with this :EmoticonHelp4:

Just a curiosity question. Were you caught in the 61 "loop" and cleared the machine? Or did you clear it because you got the 61 error? If just because of the 61 error you do not have to clear the machine always. Just wondering.......

I read somewhere that after a battery change you could use the clear chip to get rid of the 61 code.

Not sure if i had to do that instead of just tried the self test button. It's been about 3 years since i had to do anything with it  and i couldn't locate the self test button at first so that's why i used the clear chip but then i found the button so next time I'll use that option first
