Alpha 2 pro stuck after game install failed
« on: December 14, 2018, 10:45:02 AM »
I have a alpha 2 pro i assume is what it is.  originally it had a michael jackson game on it but i was given a tiki hut game to install on it, during the install something failed and now the michael jackson game is gone and trying to install a new game doesnt work i get the following error:
error collecting installed module detailserror: module_descriptor.xml did not authenticate
i was told updating to the 366j os would help fix this issue but it wont allow me to install an os either same error.  What can i do to get past this and back to where i can install a game or update to the 366j os?
also i have done the ram clear procedure twice the place i bought this from told me to try that.

To complete the factory reset:

Turn off the machine. Insert your install card.  Boot the machine and when it gets to the install screen you will see an option for factory rest.  Once you complete that turn off the machine and add your OS card or OS USB.  Leave the install card in the machine.  Boot it up.  Once it gets the install screen you will be able to install the OS.  This should help fix your problem.

Thank you that actually worked and everything installed clean and successfully.  However now when i boot it says "Machine Fault NVRAM mount failure low battery"
does that just mean that one of the two batteries on the board mircalously died during the 24 hours ive been doing this?  I dont know how old the batteries on the board are but the michael jackson game worked fine yesterday before i ventured into this.
if not one of those two batteries is there another?

Yeah the batteries can go like that.  Happens all the time.  These mpu's eat those batteries up.  They are CR2477N's.  Two of them, unless you have the very latest MPU type that use 4 regular AA batteries.
