Canadian currency was pretty stable. They released the bird series of notes 2001-2006 and ten nothing new until 2015 where they released the first plastic $20
IGT wanting to kill off the S+ never paid JCM for any of the plastic money updates. There was an update that covered the the first plastic $20 that made it into the wild but nothing after that than I am aware of.
We have seen protocol converters advertised but I am unaware of any NLG member that has or has tried one. What a protocol convertor does is take the S2000 protocol and coverts it to the S+ protocol so you can use a head that does accept the new currency on the older S+

This panel is in good condition, except for the yellow. I have some bulbs on order these are obviously burned out.

I got the speaker installed with the cover. I also put a connector making it more efficient if I need to replace the speaker.

I have this Universal Slot Machine that needs a new 3.6 NIMH battery. It’s going to take 2 weeks to get here so I’m testing it with a 3.6 NICAD I had laying around. Going through the threads, One of them states “Hold down Reset button and then turn On machine”. My memory is long gone away and I think the “RESET” button is the Black one on the MPU board. Is this correct or is it one of the other buttons? I know the NIMH batteries are better than the NICADS, Is it going to bring up any future concerns down the road if I left this one in the machine? THANK YOU ALL for Your continued help/knowledge.

Hello, I'm new here! I bought a Bally Classic Slot, and I can't seem to find any information on it. I'm also looking for any information on where I can get the door lift rods. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello: Another fun machine, we have seen a number of these lately. Regarding the question about the black above the numbers and letters toward the top of the CRT....are you sure that just isn't the monitor bezel? It's the plastic trim piece inside the door that keeps light from the internal fixtures from washing out the picture. It also keeps fingers and such things from poking into a machine. If that isn't perfectly centered it will make the image seem a little
Regarding the question about the alignment, it seems if this was a convergence issue it would be off everywhere. Plus, the convergence rings adjust RGB so for it to impact black wouldn't that mean all 3 colors are off? Meaning, all the black should be off, even the black suits of the cards. I'm not sure about the alignment of the payout background, it does look off but I'm not sure how you would adjust that, is it possibly a problem with the video circuitry on the MPU? It would be interesting to stick another working 1490 or 1492 and see if anything changes.
I'm leaning toward image source. Let's see what others have to say.
Chris
