The state of your machine is only one coin is accepted, correct?
Manually working the coin in switch doesn't make a difference?
With the door open drop the first coin. For the second coin pull the handle just until you hear a click.
The clicking sound would be the lock out coil behind the coin mechanism.
With the handle held in that position, drop another coin to see if it steps up to the second coin payout and so forth.

Yes
If the coin in switch is that small piece of copped wire under the coin validator no. It does nothing but turn the "tilt" light off if the machine is in tilt.
Ok with the door open ill drop the first coin, pull the handle till click, then droo a second coin to see what that does. IIRC, it will retain the coin at that point but it will not light up the second coin light. Ill try in the am and post back. Tnx

Your problem with the coin acceptance might be with the odds unit as Old Reno has suggested. Here is a photo of the odds unit and the bank of switches at 45 degrees on the lower right side. Make sure that the switches are making good contact.

Now I understand your confusion, your machine does not have a top box, so you will find all the stuff normally in the top unit underneath the reel mechanism pan, in the back, maybe screwed into the back wall behind the hopper.
This is a buy a pay machine, a very nice machine, and certainly a very collectable in my opinion. Great machine.
So locate your odds unit, and you can unscrew the mounts and pull it down and forward so you can play with it.
Also, remove your coin acceptor and take a picture of behind it so we can see what you have there.

If you open the door and a tilt lite comes on, then look for a push button type switch, perhaps located on the inside of the door hinge.  you can wedge that closed perhaps with a matchbook, or change the connection to NO instead of NC.  You probably have to get rid of the tilt light before you can coin the coin in switch with your finger.  Usually one hand to push closed the hinge switch (tilt switch), and the other hand to push down on coin in switch.  If tilt lite comes on or especially stays on, then you will have no coins accepted, probably.
It may be the tilt condition is your problem rather than odds step up problem.  If machine tilts allatime then that is what you have to fix.

Again, if you can coin the coin in switch with your finger repeatedly, then you will see if it steps up or not.  that way we can bypass the coin path and whatever may be blocking it.  Coins, we don't need no stinking coins.(obscure reference to spaghetti western)
Great machine, I am envious.

Ok quick update... I pulled the lever till it clicked.... When i insert the second coin, same thing... It does not count the coin and simply returns the coin... In the picture illustration... I can see the ratchet gear... Where is the shaft? My confusion is i dont know any of the names for any of the parts; and what does what.... :Scratch-Head:
So i need to be taught, and take slower steps.  :thank_you:    :EmoticonHelp4:
