S9000 Load Up Problem (Newbie Help)
« on: February 28, 2022, 07:58:53 AM »
Love this site. Thanks to everyone's guidance and support. I always wanted to get a personal slot machine and was able to purchased a Bally S9000 1 cent Triple 7 Wild Jackpot. Before I bought it, I tested it and it worked, No errors with the exception of the arm does not work. The person did say it takes 30 to 45 mins to load up. That did not sound good but it slot machine worked. When I got it home and plug in it in, it loads up the software with the wheels spinning however the I get "Call Attendant" error. It just spins for hours. I have searched through the site and found some helpful videos and found that some recommend to turn the audit key but that does not make any changes. It just spins. Am I just being impatient?

A few questions:
1. What can I do to get passed this error?
2. I have reset it by opening up the bottom box and pressed reset. It restarted the software but did the same thing?
3 I read about it may require to clear it but not sure how to do it. I only have the OS card and the game card in system. Do I need another card to clear it? If I clear it do I have to reset all the configurations? I don't want to mess that up.
4. If I ever wanted to load up a new game, where do I buy games from?

Appreciate any help,
Excited new newbie..

Yes you need a clear card and will have to re-set everything up. Which OS is on it?  It probably needs all new batteries too.  Now would be a good time to replace them before reseting everything.

Thanks SixCard for your prompt response.

Can you recommend where I can buy one? What kind of card or model number do I need? Sorry for the newbie questions.

I can send you a clear card but you was asked what OS? It matters, Bios too. Please provide the OS & Bios numbers to get the correct clear card. Bios chip is located on the CPU board. PM me if interested.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.

Thanks for the folks who responded on the thread and the PMs. Good news, after taking out the OS game card, game card, pushing all plugs in, making sure all the cables are secure, resetting the my slot machine was able to load up and now functionally. Unfortunately it took numerous shut downs to work so I am hesitant to shut it down.

Special thanks to RB. I plan to buy a CLEAR card and hopefully it will allow me to make a successful reboot in a shorter time than having to reboot multiple times just to get it the software to load. I don't see any errors and now able to play.

Call attendant is a generic message that something is wrong, but you have to enter either the attendant menu (by turning the jackpot reset key), or the setup menu by opening the lower door and pressing the white setup button on the mpu in order to see the actual error that is causing the machine to not function.  The error messages will be displayed on the top right hand corner of the screen.
