I have been searching and reading and trying to find solutions to why my machine is not quite working and before I finally make a grave mistake I figured it was time to sign up and just ask!

this video sums it up

 https://youtu.be/Tx5xTFNojoI

Video comm error is the newest issue, door open MB is still showing and ill get into that more deeper in the post.

What I have done to fix all of this:

Replaced the coin battery, removed Varta battery, cleaned traces and tried the disabling the door infrared detector (ended up rewiring it back in place.

The machine worked great until the coin battery died or ran to low of voltage and now I am just chasing errors.

The display comm error is new and that has only shown up since the Varta battery was removed.   I have read about enhanced boards needing a bridge in its place at least but cant tell what I have for a board.

So , more info.   Its an IGT Vision with a 504 board model number 1952-2 .    Not sure what other info is needed but I will gladly supply it.

Did you get the polarity on the new coin battery right?

I believe the video LCD screen is a netplex device, could be top box battery is dead and/or the LCD needs to be "found" again for comms.

Try the autoconfugire netplex devices?

Check the plugs in the back of the monitor. It is not communicating with the MPU. Check the data card in the top slot by pressing the button next to it and reseat it. If there is a card in the side slot, remove it. Not needed. Would not be surprised if the 504 went bad. Not unusual when the varta battery leaks and eats the traces for the door optics. A little longer video showing from power on to error would be great. Focus on the VFD and monitor messages
Thank Ya Thank Ya Very Much.

its impossible to get into the I/O menu with the autoconfig.   Usually when you open the door and push the button on the motherboard it takes you there but it wont do that currently.

In the top where the screen is looks good, everything is connected and seated.

The Varta battery didnt explode or really leak, there is nothing for damage on the board itself.

What error messages are showing on the VFD? I can't see them from my cell phone video?
After you replaced the coin battery did you turn the jackpot key a few times?
No jumpers on the Varta battery just remove it.

I have a video loading up to youtube going through all the security and tilt errors which is about as deep as I can go!

I will pull the jumper off the Varta (tried without it, found info saying to jump it, not to jump it, just so confusing).

Searching for specific information is an exhausting process and it seems like there are many different ways to fix an issue and many different ways the issues appear.     Video coming in about 5 minutes (really slow internet here).

Make sure the cash box is seated. Also reseat the bill validator assembly. If the bill door switch has not been bypassed make sure the bill validator door is closed, ( or bypass it. There is a coin battery inside the LCD screen that may need replacement.

I will give those a try, the cash box door is bypassed and I dont think I can slam the box in any harder then my last few attempts.   BV will get a reseat shortly.
