Anyone know about THIS error message???

My S-2000 threw the error code "Bad Secondary Meters".    Does this mean the mechanical meters are bad?  If so, can I simply bypass them as others have done to get back going again?

Do the jumper procedure to see if it fixes it.  I've never seen "secondary meters" before, but if you jumper it and it goes away, problem solved.  If not, then we can begin to dig into something else.

I have been fixing mainly s2000s for almost 10 years i have never seen that error before. I would try clearing and reprogramming it tho. Maybe it was connected to a player tracking system that had digital meters.

Well I kind of doubt it would be something like THAT, as I recently did some work to get the machine going which included doing the key/clear chips, and I never messed with any network settings etc....and the machine HAD been working great since I'd don the recent work on it.

Could be something stuck in RAM, try swapping the RAM chips with each other and setting up again.

Hmm.....interesting turn of events..........

With the reset key turned while simultaneously pressing the white MPU button for 2-3 seconds, it ended up resulting in the machine working after all the onscreen steps were completed.

Perhaps it's just a temporary fix, but we shall see
