Custom Machine Show off

Hi Friends!


Just wanted to do a quick show off on the custom machine i've beem hacking into my s2000 to make this beauty. It's not quite done, but oh so close, just waiting for the glass to get cut. Thanks to RB for the super fast ship and help with the back lights. It is looking so good, I am so happy! Triple Diamond is cool, but having your own brand, way cooler. Cheers friends! hit them jackpots!

It was a lot of work, I probably have over 60 hours into this machine. I guess I can thank Covid-19, because I never would have done this without it.

Very nice!  Who did the glass for you?  How did you make the graphics for the reel strips and glass? Looks great, congratulations     Oh, and nice bar too

Glass and reel strips are made of the same thing, backlit film

Its double sided taped to clear glass for the glass.


I scanned the original reels in pieces (no big scanner) and put them in photoshop to align the graphic I had made, also in photoshop, or modded in photoshop from photos. I filmed a lot of it and am working on a editing a video together of the whole process. there was a lot of trial and error.

I may still have the templates i made when we were doing custom machines its based off a 3 reel double diamond.

This is the only production game we ever made that i still have photos of the rest all have customers personal photos used in them.

Both of those look great!  I've always wanted to do a custom theme but don't have a lot of artistic talent and wasn't sure who could print strips, glass etc, if I do find it!

I have no artistic talent the images in my are stock photos that we paid for the rights to use them. All our printing was done in house. Glass is printed on adhesive backed vinyl that was sealed over with a clear laminate we tried backlight media but it came out looking faded but would would have worked better if we had access to higher end printing equipment with better color control. Strips were thick card stock laminated on both sides.

Typically the glass is just clear glass with a Mylar film applied.
Most sign shops that service the commercial market can do this for you and apply it (without the micro bubbles).
They use for entrance doors for commercial buildings.
There are also auto shops that do vehicle wrapping that can print this way as well.


For custom strips a drafting plotter works well, especially if you can use Vellum vs paper.
Copy shops would have the materials to do this and then laminate.
Backlit is a bit more tricky.
