I'm helping a friend with a game whose internals are labled as manufactured by Sircoma, two boards, a video assembly which appears to be mostly color PROMS with a character address scheme. When booted up, it shows a scrambled screen with no motion, no self-test, nothing you'd expect. Pulling the master computer assembly and turning it on shows the exact same scramble, so my I'd guess the MCU isn't running.
The questions I have are somewhat simple:
1. Are ROM images for this available somewhere? The ones onboard are labled "Poker 200 S" from 10/11/82, copyright IGT. I'd like to burn a fresh set.
2. How does one get access to the circuit boards for diagnostics? They're inside a fairly heavy metal cage underneath the monitor. If this was, say, Gorf, I'd say I'd use a card edge extension, but if there's an easier way I'd love to know.
3. Is there a diagnostic manual similar to Galaxian or anything else?
I already repaired the corrosion on the MCU assembly where the NICAD battery leaked out, so at this point I mean, I guess my next steps will be to see if it's reseting, then look to see if there's activity on the address lines.
