hi when I turn on my s 2000 it goes through the cycle and then it says on display door open mb and bill validator stacker open. can someone please guide me on how to fix these 2 issues. than you very much.

The machines were designed and built originally for casino use, so they have a number of security features that sometimes cause nuisance problems for home users. Behind or near the cash storage box is a security switch with 2 wires attached. This switch sometimes doesn't activate if things aren't aligned right. You can remove both wires from the switch and twist them together, cover with a small wire nut or electrical tape.

Some mpu boards (the main circuit board) are protected from tampering with a security switch. You can do a similar thing to it, disconnect the 2 wires and connect them together, then insulate the wires so they won't touch the metal chassis. That may take care of the errors you are getting.

hi, I actually have 2 machines that are doing that. I found the wires behind. they go about a foot and stop . and then they are twisted together and have a white plug on the end. so it looks like that was done. what about the optics on the door and the door frame, it looks like when the door closes , they come together to make a complete circuit. is it possible that these are not connecting properly. thank you

On the S+ machines I think if the door optics are working properly the display on the front of the machine will blink when you shut the door. That is a good way to know if the door optics are working or not. Maybe it works the same way on an S2000, someone here familiar with that model will have to say for sure.

That white plug on the 2 security switch wires, if it looks similar to this below that is actually a wire nut (or a crimp splice) and not a plug. It is plastic on the outside and has metal inside that keeps the wires tightly together. This can be done at the end of the wires where they would normally be attached to the security switch.

When you close the door are you also latching it?

hi, the door display that should blink off and on is where on the front. sorry is it one of the buttons that blinks. that bottom  picture that you sent is what is on the end of the wires. thank you. now what comes up is ram error. so should I do a clear 97 chip sequence and the a key 17  thank you.

If you are familiar with the CLEAR and SET process then you could give it a try but keep in mind it is usually discouraged unless nothing else works to eliminate the problem because a lot of people have a hard time restoring the settings and preferences after they do a CLEAR. So as long as you are aware of what a CLEAR does and how it can cause more headaches for you go ahead if you think you have done everything else. But I don't think a CLEAR will help with the door optics. You may want to wait on things until other experienced folks have checked in and given suggestions.

okay thanks. I will wait to see if any one else has any other suggestions. I am aware that other settings will have to be done and it can be confusing. I will check back tomorrow night.
