Hello everyone! As a hobby, I enjoy fixing up a variety of old things and giving them a second chance at life, either as something I keep and use, or pass along for others to enjoy. This is usually in the form of old mopeds, scooters, motorcycles and the occasional car, but I have also revived several pachinko and pachislo machines as well. Obviously a slot machine is a whole other world in comparison
Anyway, I was offered a free Summit machine the other day, and have been slowly trying to work through it. It definitely needs some cosmetic attention, but it does seem to be complete. The power cord was completely destroyed, so I've replaced that, checked the fuses, done some gentile cleanup of dust and such. The machine now successfully powers on. The lists come on (mostly), and it will successfully accept a quarter. 1 shows up in what I assume is the coin counter in the top right of the play field, and the handle unlocks. If I pull the handle, the left and right reels spin (though they don't yet stop), but not the middle reel. Here's the strange thing. If I turn off the power, all 3 reels spin just fine. I'm not sure what's holding up the middle one, but any advice would be much appreciated.
Oh, I have no idea if it matters, but it's a Summit Systems model no. 188632215CMTB. Seems similar to some Bally machines. It's a 5 coin, single play line quarter machine.
