CC 13v coin comparitors
« on: March 11, 2014, 06:55:06 AM »
Just curious if anyone knows a trick to use other coin comparitors in s2000's other than CC 13v

We have a ton of 12v I know they're for Williams and also a lot of straight drops we use to use on S+

Thanks,

Chris

The S2000 requires a coin valid/good signal from the Comparator.
You must have a comparator in the S2000 or something to trigger that coin valid signal. it does not send it when the coin is rejected.
The S+ does not care what goes between its optics as long timing is right
But the S2000 will tilt if a coin goes through the optics when a signal is not received from the comparator - coin in error and it is a hard tilt
Now 1V should not bother the comparator but this is where a running test would let you know.
Make a harness that interfaces between the s2000 comparator connector and the Williams comparator if they are not the same pin outs.
Put it in the machine and let it run for an hour or so, doors closed. compare its temp with a s2000 with s2000 comparator if its not any warmer by feel or by thermometer then you should be okay.
