Errors with XM00005P chipset on a PE+ Superboard
« on: March 23, 2024, 05:24:47 PM »
Hey all,  Looking for help getting my PE+ Superboard chip set fully functional.
Using the XM00005P Program set ( CG2240 w CAPX2174 )

Multi-game set w/ games:
  Joker Poker
  Double Joker Poker
  Bonus Poker
  Double Bonus Poker,
  Double Double Bonus Poker

The games seem to play ok, but have several screens that aren't right.

Game Menu Screen:
-A missing image above Menu selection for Double Joker Poker.
-The Multi-Poker Logo showing 5 games doesn't show correct games.

Statistic Screen shows same wrong logo info at the top as Game Menu.

Double Double Bonus Poker Game Screen  has missing info in odds sections

Thanks, Jim

The only thing I can think of is one or more of your EPROMs is mismatched.  Try downloading and burning a new set and see if that fixes it.  You can get complete ROM sets from MAME sites.  Google "XM00005P" and you'll find them.

It would appear that your CG chips (MRO, MGO, MBO, MXO) do not match the program chips. The machine checks to make sure the program chips are valid, but there's no check to make sure the correct graphics chips are in use.
