MEI CashFlow conversion parts for IGT S2000

I have a Double Diamond IGT S2000 and the WBA 12-SS makes terrible noises, and finally kicked the bucket. My BlueBird has a nice MEI CashFlow validator and I'd like to put the same on my IGT.


I'm looking for validator, cashbox, brackets, everything I need to do the conversion. I have a Sentry smart bezel, can I still use that with the MEI?

Pretty sure your bezel will still work just fine.  You need a sc-6602 mei set up for the s-2k -complete with duck bill.  The whole rig will mount up in your metal housing no problems, Hook up 3-wires and boot, then open close/door and cooking with crisco.  wms/bally uses sc-6607 rs-232 and up depending on what you are running.  You should be able to find what you need here, The duck bill may be a problem but shouldn't. (finding one-They go for 15-20 bucks) for s-2k .

If you are talking about the smart bezel for the wba, the one that shows what the last bill accepted was, it won't work with MEI validators, different brand, different interface.

The Sentry will work with the MEI only because the firmware in the Sentry is also ID 024 protocol and connects between the machine and BV via netplex.
I know someone that has switched from WBA to MEI and his Sentry's still work.

I would actaully recommend the UBA-10, because you can update it yourself via a USB cable and the UBA download software from JCM
I have done it to my UBA 10 without having to recalibrate it. and it works beautifully.

MEI cash flow require their special handheld computer to update and you may not get support for the newest currency without an update.
Central Vally Slots had the cash flows last time I looked.

Great advice. Thank you all. Central Valley does have the MEI 6602, but based on your advice the UBA-10 seems
like a smarter long term buy. It looks like ID 024 is IGT's NetPlex[1], and I presume the UBA-10 is also compatible
with the Sentry bezel?


Doesn't look like CV has the UBA-10, I found a few on eBay but they're quite expensive and out of my price range
(~$400). I can't find anything for them at Rudys, or Southern.

If you do get it make sure it is with ID024.  If they are ID03, they need to be flashed to ID024 and the jumpers set to TTL instead of RS-232.  Most selles will do this for you.

I have a complete 6602. You can have it for $25 shipped. Works but needs software update for new bills. Good luck with that.

MEI heads can also be updated using a USB cable and a laptop, just need to have the STS software and the firmware. Personally I have found the MEI heads to be easier to work with than the UBA's. no bill path to have to adjust. have not done it myself, but have heard they are a real pain to get right. I am sure someone on the site would be willing to flash that MEI head for you. The latest and greatest for IGT is M6048F219198220. Includes the new 5's and 100's.

I have M6048F219198220.BIN with a md5 checksum of a7e936f507fbdec198807723d5622d44, does that sound right? Where can I buy/get STS software? Is STS an acronym?

I do believe that the firmware you need is avail for rental through Happs...however, last I heard it was on a daily rental basis. It is not something they publicize to be avail to just anyone, hence the DAILY RENTAL...think VHS movies back in the day, ONE minute late? Sorry, that will be one full days rental charge.
