5 Reel to 3 Reel

I have an Alpha S9E S9-1S5-20.I would like to be able to convert to a 3 reel game.I have the game kit,3 reel bar with harness and I am waiting on the reels.Could I use the existing backlit reels and just transfer the baskets or do I have to use the new unlit reels?

The new 3 reels came with the back lights on them,seller didn't show on their pics.
The back light housings are wider on the 3 reels.
The brackets and motor look the same.It looks like you could transfer baskets at the hub but they are a tight fit.

Check out the model number on the reel driver / control board sitting next to the reel motor.  I think they are different and if I recall not cross compatible....but don't quote me on that.

I noticed that they look different,do you think that the one for the 3 reeler wouldn't work on a 5 reel game ?

I have been checking out you website.I would like a 3 reel  Power Progressive or Quick Hits specifically for the S9E S9-1S5-20
The upper plexi above the 20"monitor is the small 1/4 moon style.I have found that the one for the 17" monitor
can be cut to fit.The belly is the same and the reel glass could be customised.
Please let me know what you have and price shipped to 44067

Sorry nothing like that avail. I was more referring to parts for the conversion rather than game kits. We're low on Alpha kits right now.

Thank you for the reply.I have all the parts for the 5 to 3 reel Alpha conversion,except for a decent game.I'm sure I will need some unrelated parts in the near future and will be calling you.
Presently I have an IGT S ,3 S6000's and 2 S9E's,Lots to go wrong :-)
