Has anyone ever seen triple bonanza on the I-game platform?
« on: September 09, 2018, 06:24:07 PM »
So I bought this IGT I-game machine in triple bonanza and I can find zero about it, not even one picture....  I know triple bonanza dates back to S+ and most I see available today are s2000, but I cant find any on the I-game platform.....  So am I sitting on a gold mine or just a POS game theme no one wants?  Personally I would like a more interactive game for the I format.....thoughts anyone?

Does the machine power up and work? What about converting it to another game that you like? Just needs different game software and glass, right?

yes it is lock and roll game, i have 2 that came out of NC about 5 years ago

the interesting thing there are a bunch of games on that software set (26 i think) you select the game you want it to be when you key it up

i have the triple bonanza and one of the black tie version glass and software

what makes this different is you spin the wheels , lock the ones you want to keep, and spin again

i have since coverted both of mine to LCD and 044

Very interesting!  Do you know what all the games are?  Is this like a game king or something that you set up in the software?  Something more interesting is this machine was in North Carolina too.  The guy I bought it from (seems to part out everything he buys on ebay) took the power supply out and cut that connector off with it.  Once I get that fixed, i can find out the state of the monitor.  As burned in as it is I want to convert eventually.  Can you point me toward what LCD to buy?

okay sorry again but i got it installed

looks like there are 20 games total

tonight i will check each one and see if there are differances besides the basic themes

i do see a blackjack, and although the ones i selected are lock and roll, there happens to be one also called lock and roll

it does appear you can only slect one game at a time, via the key chip, would be cool to select multi game

That is a pretty cool feature for sure, it appears that most if not all of the games follow the more classic 3 reel style adding the lock and roll feature?  Thanks for pulling that up for me!  I really want a classic video slot with free games type features such as Cleo, Texas Tea, mystical unicorn etc.  But I have to get the machine up and running before I can figure all that out!

I wanted to put a little more info for those of you interested-

For those avid slot machine lovers that like to play the traditional 3 reel slot games, IGT put 20 of the most popular games of these 3 reel slot game into one machine. All of these video slot games has one payline and can play up to 5 credits per bet. These games can be set up to any of the different denominations. For example, pennies, nickels, dime, quarters, fifty cents, dollars, five dollars, ten dollars and etc.

There is an extra feature to all of these 3 reel slot games. This feature is what IGT calls ‘Lock & Roll’. What this feature is that when the slot player puts his bet into the machine, from one to five credits, and then presses the spin button, the 3 reels would spin as normal and if there is a winning combination the game is over. But if there is not a winning combination after the initial spin, the player has the option to hold any or all of the three reels and the slot player could have a second chance and re-spin any or all of the non-holding reels. After, the re-spin is completed, and then the payline would be re-evaluated to see if there is a winning combination. For example, if after the initial spin and there is a winning combination the slot player can hold all of the reels and the game is over and the payoff is awarded to the slot player. On the other hand the slot player can possibly hold none or two of the reels, hoping for a better payoff, and re-spin the non-holding reels and re-spin and hope for the best. Another example, if the slot player has no winning combination on the initial spin, the slot player could hold none or two of the reels hoping that there would be a winning combination after the re-spin. This feature gives the slot player an extra advantage in getting a winning combination.

The different slot games are:
Blackjack Lock & Roll
Cats & Dogs Lock & Roll
Diamond Tens Lock & Roll
Double American Beauty Lock & Roll
Double Black Tie Lock & Roll
Double Desire Lock & Roll
Double Diamond Lock & Roll
Double Dollars Lock & Roll
Double Double Diamond Lock & Roll
Double Hearts Lock & Roll
Double Red, White & Blue Lock & Roll
Five Times Pay Lock & Roll
Lock & Roll
Red, White & Blue Lock & Roll
Ten Times Pay Lock & Roll
Triple Bonanza Lock & Roll
Triple Diamond Lock & Roll
Triple Jackpot Lock & Roll
Wild Cherry Lock & Roll
Wild Star Red, White, and Blue Lock & Roll

I've been going down the slot machine history rabbit hole!

Here's an article about Lock and Roll — no surprise that the 2 machines came from a NC casino!

And analysis from the Wizard of Odds:
