Game King 3802 sound board

I noticed that 3802 MPUs can have a sound board—my Game King with G0002142 chips does not.

My guess is that the only difference with the sound board is that the Black Rhino slot makes the "drums" sound, and Lion Fish has the harp music. I would think all poker games have the same sound.

Am I correct?

Yes, the only thing you'll miss is some of the enhanced sounds like you said.  You get all the basic sounds without one.

Thanks again, Tilt, for the insights!

I assumed as much—I have a 3902 MPU with G0001777 game, and it uses a Multimedia sound board. The only difference in sound that I can discern is for the slot games.

Some Keno games may be missing sounds too.  Not sure that anyone would mind missing that screeching Pterodactyl in caveman keno though ha ha

I just looked at my 3802 board—it doesn't even have the sockets for the sound board pins!

It's not a 3802 board then.  Look closer at the part number it's probably a 3502 board.

I don't see anything that indicates the part. It says Assembly #7570. Copyright IGT 1994.

I should probably just post a pic of the board.

It took me almost 2 years, but here's the photo.

It appears to be a 3502 MPU.
