IGT S and S-plus Reel Games / Re: IGT Double diamond S Plus, RESTORATION
« Last post by David Walz on Yesterday at 06:04:56 AM »
The most common event that occurs (requiring a clear) is when you do a battery change and the CMOS gets corrupted. You can’t move beyond the error 61.

If you do a game change you get a 61 error due to a changed game chip. You hold the small white button until you hear a ding. The error becomes a 61-1 you close the door and it clears and the game is ready to play.

When the cmos gets corrupted the 61 becomes a 61-1, then a 61 and (reaper, repeat, repeat) and never goes away.

You can search the forum for 61 loop.

The set chip is needed to activate the bill validator and to set the denomination. Ie how many credits for a buck.

You need to use this after each game change or after using a clear chip.

That makes perfect sense. I will order it today from Alan at K-LAR

Bally Reel Games / Re: Blown resistor
« Last post by dhellis on May 13, 2024, 11:27:18 PM »
I have never worked on a Bally 6000 however the color code appears to be Brown Green Brown so 150 ohms,
it also looks more like battery leakage than a burnt resistor so I would measure it and see what the value is
and if it reads 150 ohms or close then the problem lies elsewhere.

Hi, a friend reached out to me with the question to repair his Bally S6000 board

A resistor is blown as seen on the picture.

Is this a common issue and only a faulty resistor or could there be something else going on ?

Thanks for tips and help.

BTW looking for the specs as well.

IGT S3000 Reel Games / Re: S3000 Menu Question
« Last post by dailey on May 13, 2024, 11:23:04 PM »
I know the crystal cabinet has "Powersight", but the S3000 doesn't have that technology. I was thinking more along the line of facial recognition for player tracking. This seems to be the big plan. Just not sure if the technology has been rolled out yet. Maybe some slots were built camera ready?
