E1213 wrong payout on one symbol

I bought this machine 550 miles from home in Las Vegas many hours of work to get it up and working the way it's working all payouts are accurate except it has a random symbol in its case a gold miner in a pocket watch
What is supposed to pay 20 coins and it pays 100I am down to the prom is incorrect the prom in it says it is for a 1290 machine I myself am more into em machines
this machine did come with several spare parts I am guessing the last person to own itbought several control board's several power supply boards and several IO boards all of these boards I have swap out and they all tests okay with the prom of 1290 there was a prom on one board for a 1213
it randomly pays on a very unusual scale I do not know what real it belongs on I do have a good break down of the reals and symbols I cannot find this machine in any of my E series listings it says it was made exclusively for the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas if anyone can help me the real strips do not have the Balley's number on them I am trying to figure out the right prom for the machine did get it to pay perfectly

I do not often ask for help all I do is help other people on their machines please someone must know how to figure out this problem

i have no data on that eprom - and you are probably right - that series were a bank of numbers used for nugget machines - I had alot of those machines years ago - and saved the programs from the ones i had.  So the only way to decipher what that chip is I would need a copy of it.  Are you sure this eprom was in the game when you got it and that it never worked?

when I got the machine the 1280 chip was in it it had a minor wiring issue that took me way too long to find I tried all of the spare mpu boards in the machine all of the spare proms in the machine none of them would work whatsoever the 1280 is closed cherries work plums work Bell work oranges work bars work the Golden Nugget symbol works(7)with the old machines I have listings of real symbols for reals I have nothing for the newer machines I can make any of the old machines work and this machine is not bad instead of paying 20 on the random it pays 100 I would like it right there must be a list of the custom-built machines for casinos I have not found it yet I have gigabytes of listings but not for this machine

so you are saying the machine pays right except for a 20/100 payout??? don't understand what you mean on the random?  when you get that payout have you looked at the test to see what it is reading on all 3 lines?

no I have not there again I am not very good on the E series

the random is like my old 742A money honey she pays on any line  in any position I do not know how else to explain the random if there are 3 of that symbol showing in the window any line it pays out 100 instead of 20

i understand the 20/100 now - so the three symbols are displaying in any position correctly - so the payout on the game chip is wrong.  Have you checked to see if you do have a 5 coin game?  5 test - press the coin switch to see if if goes to a line 2 line 3 etc?   I maybe able to change the payout on the chip - difficult due to the random feature - as finding the correct chip without any documentation is a crap shoot.

no I did not run test 5 being that everything was playing in pain properly except the one symbol
our way out to the shop this morning and ran test 5 to get the symbol number my prom reader is in Michigan I am still in California I will take the prom out of the machine go to my friends about 20 miles away this week one day read the prom
