machine lights up but don't start, clicking noise coming from coin chute and pull handle, and lights on buttons blink. removed mpu ,replaced battery, and resoldered a capacitor that was loose.i know im going to have to replace it because its starting to bulge a little, could that be causing clicking and button lights flashing

Unplug your coin comparator and see if the clicking goes away.

Can you take a picture of the insides? That is an unusual looking machine. Looks more like an M machine.

green light is on the comparitor,when I unplug the comparator it still makes a lot of noise at down chute and spin handle. And the spin handle will release while making noise. This is another project machine. I just got and and when turned on for the first time there were only lights and nothing else, I pulled the hopper out and started checking connectors,when I touch the one in the picture that's when the noise started. the white connector had a little burn spot on it so I pulled the pins from the connector they looked ok so I just cleaned them, I also checked that bottom board for broken solder connections and there were non.

Cleaning is not enough!, you have to re shape the contact itself, the purpose is that the contact surface will make a solid connection with the pin, if it is clean is one thing, not touching it is the other part of it. if you look at the bottom side of that connector and shine a flashlight from the other direction you will see the gap between the contact and the plastic.

Did you clean the pins for that plug? I would also look into replacing the crimp connectors for that plug with new ones.

If you have a electronics store near you, they should have the crimp connectors.

found another mpu a 10mhz. my machine has a 16MHz is the only difference the volume control, and can I use it without any change ?[/

I don't think you can use your chips in the 10mhz. It is a slower board. I know the 16mhz can't use the chips from a 10

how do I find out what MHz is my mpu (75505700) looks like blue volume was there and could have been removed,, is it 10 or 60 MHz and is it the correct mpu for this machine

The MHz is stamped on the metal crystal can. 10 or 16 are the two options.

All 10 MHz Boards have the blue adjustment knob, where the 16 MHz do not.

RP13 is a 22K x 8, 9 pin SIP resistor pack.
