igt s2000 multi-denom touch cell pad ( light problems )

Hi


I have installed the igt s2000 multi-denom touch cell pad and now the light stopped working but the button still work! What can it be ?

Loose plug or bad board, not a lot of options there. Do you have a known working one you can swap in for a test?

No I only have this one but I would like to have a couple extra if someone out there have 1 or two for sale ? It did smell kind of burned when I opened the door, so wich board do you mean, and can I check it my self ?

It could always be something else. Take the board put and smell it or look for burnt parts

I just bought two new boards so I hopefully will find out if a new board will help.


If there is anyone else who had any experience with the same kind of problem I would really appreciate some info and tips about how to solve this issue..[/font]

I received a new multi denom light card today and installed it without any good news, the touch pad still work but still no light?


What can it be and how can I trobleshoot the issue ?


I’m very thankfull for any tips or help about this problem I have :)

I'm guessing that something was shorted out in the Keytronic driver circuit board.
The number on the board is: M/N IGT25329500 8" long board to the left of the touch cell pad when looking from behind.
Two diagonal placed Phillips screws hold the cover for this unit that also houses the 6-6-3 display board....remove those and look closely inside with a magnifying glass.
Check the [J250] header for a burnt pin (usually the ground pin)
Check the 11-pins in the tiny harness that runs to the light box too.
You may need a new one.

As you can see on the picture I have two denom light cards and double set with harnes too, and I have tried them both without success :(


It’s hard to see any damage on the card if you ask me, but you maybe know where to look :)

The boards appear to be okay....I would now start to look for a continuity break in the tiny harness with a multimeter.

I have two set of the denom harness and I have tried them both :(

But i guess it can still be the Keytronic driver circuit board or some other boards ?

are the two small boards pictured the LED 4 quadrant board ?   if so, those look totally different than the board I am used to seeing,  maybe that's the problem??

Yes it is the board you mentioned Jim and it did work before until it suddenly stoped work, but the multi denom buttons still work.. :) [/font]

have you selected the LEDS in the key chip menu, there are four selections as to which lamps will be used and for which quadrant.
