quick question....when swapping chips to run on the 044 board do i have to swap any of the 8 pin "personality" chips from the main board to the 044?  when i start the game i am getting a bad gr or something rom so i ordered a new sim but it just occurred to me maybe i needed to swap the small chips too??

Use the complete set and a DSP chip.

I dont know what a complete set is…i hD a bad enhanced bd on my 044 and i bought a legacy adapter and a gk 5.3 and i put the chips on the legacy board, got a ck? Rom error so i ordered another but i notoce there are these 8 pin chips on the main boRds.  What does a complete set consist of?

GK 5.3 should have the base, (4) GME chips, (1) CGF, (1) PXLF and (1) SNDF SIMM.

Good…i an getting a ck rom failure message so i found one for $25 hopefully that will fix it.  Can i use a dev39 chip or do i use a 22 key chip?

ok i tried replacing a simm but i get the same screen...anyone know why this comes up?  i am still wondering if there is a little 8 pin dip chip i need to swap between the old 3902 board and the new 044 board...ummm whats a dsp chip?
