You will definitely need to change shelf and pin wheels to work with quarters. Now that you have the coin jam cleared, can you hear the hopper motor come on when you close the door? If it is you can unscrew the sensor from the top of the hopper (just one screw) cut the small wire tie from the back. Leave your coin tray off, and close the door, you should be able to run the sensor far enough to manually run a coin threw the sensor and cash out the machine.

not related to the machine, at least not the parts required to function.

I do have yet another question.  In this pic it looks like im missing a ballast or a tilt switch? The black and white wires are connected to a 4 pin molex flourecent lamp but have nothing to connect to. The red and white wires are connected to a 2 pin molex and connect to nothing.

That missing part may look something like this pictured below. If so you are right, it is a ballast for a fluorescent lamp.

I have seen the magnets used on some earlier S+ (maybe 93 - 95 machines) instead of using a micro switch for the belly door. You might want to check the belly door area for wiring .. for a door switch. For some reason I think they were AC machines.

Would that be something the casino itself added, there wasn't a belly door switch on the machines they were using or they had problems with the original switch for some reason? Maybe part of an extra-security thing?

That photo came from the Ohio Gaming website, looked like the right part but I wasn't 100% sure. It may be available from multiple sources, here's their webpage for more info for you:

I have seen those mounted on the MPU tray, I assume so the casino would know if anybody tried to mess with the board since S+ didn't have a card cage switch.

Did they wire the added magnetic switch in with the normal door switch so it would get sensed, or did they connect it to a different alarm method?

I assume it was some other external alarm I never saw one that was actually hooked up to anything.
