Hello all- I have an s200o Vision Slingo that has been fairly problem free. The other day while playing, it went to call attendant mode and the error said something in regard to coin payout was incorrect. The credit red display started to flicker. I turned the machine off and rebooted and reset the machine . ( A few facts first- it does have a coin comparitor, but I dont use coins- only bills). Anyway upon reboot and reset, I get a coin in jam error and the credit lights flicker different numbers. I checked all connections, and rest again. This time the error message was gone- it accepted a $20 and played until I tried to place another $ 20 and the credits went from where they normally were to the number 8 and the coin in jam error reappeared.
I reset again and it seems to be playing okay for now, but I am concerned something is going on that I need to check. One other thing of note is that teh lights on the bill acceptor bezel do not light up anymore after the resets.
I have read what I can read and am wondering a couple of things:
I had the dreaded leaking green battery issue 6 months ago, but was able to remove the battery, clean the board with in checking, all of the nearby traces had continuity- and it played well after doing that. Any chance something in that area of the board regulates this current issue?
Could the display be going bad and that is triggering the coin in jam error?
Since I dont use coins, should I just bypass the coin comparitor?
Thanks for any help in advance
Bruce
