BB2 Hard Drive

Has anyone replaced a hard drive in their BB2? Does it require anything special other than replacing the hard drive itself? Thank you John.

Newer versions of the BB2 CPU now come with a 32 or 40 GB SSD instead of a mechanical HD.  Suggest you use an SSD to replace yours.  The 40 GB is an INTEL and the 32 GB is a Transend.  It doesn't have to be those brands or size, but make sure it's a SATA drive.

I did order the SSD drive that you mentioned. So the computer will take care of the rest once I install the drive is really what my question is? Clear the machine and install the game?

The HD size the faster a new game

I never noticed an install or boot up to be faster with a SSD. I did however notice that in Lord of the Rings the "Now Loading" during a bonus was much faster.


Also when I had a hard drive fail, I found out that some BB2 games don't require a HD at all. I think I was running Zeus transmissive when I noticed my hard drive wasn't being used.
