BB2 Topper connections?

Hi everyone,
I just bought a BB2 LOTR machine ( Thanks Brad from TeamClark). Wanted to put a WMS topper on it so I got one from Rudy's (thanks Nicole). I have the Candle light hooked up and found 120v for the fluorescent lamp but do not know where to plug the LED plug . Does anyone have any ideas? The cable is labeled P1 and I think it might plug into the distribution panel on the left side behind the lower monitor, very top plug. (See Picture).  The plug is correct, but don't want to burn it out.

If you have a volt meter, measure output in the red and black wire positions on your topper, it should read +5v.  I'm pretty sure that is the plug as WMS uses the same 8 pin plug for power everywhere.  But test the pins for 5v to make sure.  All the black wires are ground and they should all have continuity.

Thanks Rick.... Checked at the topper.. the cable plug that feeds the LED ring and it reads 11.83vdc. Will check the 8 pin plug behind the monitor to see if there is 5vdc anywhere on that plug. First have to get the wife off the machine. Bob

Mystery solved.... Got wife off the machine and noticed that the LED power plug was a yellow and black wires carrying 12vdc. The cable to the topper was also yellow and black. So they were a match. I have access to a BB1 with a different style topper so I took the top apart and sure enough it also has a LED cable feeding it with a yellow and black wires. Checked voltage and indeed it was 12vdc feeding the LEDs in the topper. So both styles of WMS toppers use 12vdc to the LEDs in the topper.


So to hook up the topper on a BB2 machine it is a straight plug in. There are 3 cables from the topper: 120vac fluorescent light , 12vdc leds and candle light. I will try to put up a detailed write up with pictures so any else can add a topper with ease.

My bad on the 5V, it is actually 12v since it is black/yellow not black/red as i originally saw on the connector.
