Where is the belly door switch?
« on: October 30, 2015, 06:04:10 PM »
Folks,
I can't believe I had to breakdown and ask this, but I can't find where the belly door switch is (is it an opto maybe?). My cab is flaky and I keep having to push in the belly door to register the belly door as closed. I see the main door switch and there is a switch further up which turns off the light inside of the cab.

I have a BB1 upright.

Thanks.

It's just to the left of dead center when you look at the back of the belly door. Hangs from a bracket that is part of the belly glass assembly bracket. Makes contact with the metal frame of the main door assembly.

I pull the switch off the bracket and permanently jump the wires together to avoid that issue.  As iramack pointed out, if you open the bottom door where you can access the wiring of the player panel, there's a white switch about the halfway point.

Thanks for the responses. I must be going blind (or crazy). I cannot find a switch there. Is it a mechanical switch? (not an opto)

Thanks.

OK....I found it. It is actually inside of my cabinet just to the right of the dbv. Weird spot.

Thank you for the responses.

Now that I'm thinking about it, the switch is in different places based on the configuration of the cabinet.  On my 5 reel bb1, the switch is in the belly door.  On my video bb1, the switch is to the right side of the dbv cage like you said.
