im looking for a 14 in crt monitor for a ballys slot machine

1492 is on the chassis of the monitor.

Up to recently I would have recommended sending the chassis to ceronix but if you read my RANT - that is not recommended. Is the one in your machine just not working? K-LAR (larry weber and alan) can fix it. Also Gordy Nichols has 1492 chassis for sale - would have to be checked to see if they are wired for bally applcations.

yes this is the one in my machine..

the machine works. the monitor dont power on.

i have checked the power supply and transfomer.

i have read to check the fly back but not sure on how to check it.

i dont work on crt monitors.

if i could find out how to check the monitor

or fix this one then it would save money on fixing it..

I know Gordy had the 1492 Ceronix set up for IGT, but I'm not sure about the monitors..

Nice cabinet for a old video poker! Have you tried adjusting the color and brightness pot's that are usually located on top or bottom of CRT? Also could be a blown trace on the power distribution board near the transformer. It's a small board with just wires plugged into it. Power may not be going to the CRT chassis?

Yes I have tried that.
I get no static when touching the monitor.
The neck of the tube dose not glow at all
When turned on..

Mark, I went back to the beginning of this thread and seeing that this Ceronix unit is from a Bally video poker, then the Ceronix units that Gordy's selling will not work in your machine! They are configured for IGT video poker machines. The Ceronix chassis has many uses, and does work in different machines, BUT it has to be setup or configured for each venders machines seperately. That is done by jumper settings on the bottom of the Ceronix circuit board. It is done with changing solder connections. So you see it's not going to be a plug and play fix with your machine. Your best and fastest way to get that machine running now lays with K-Lar in Vegas. Call and talk to Larry Weber at 702-363-9998..
