Check your MPU board for any bent pins, but it sounds like it is probably bad.

MPU is the board that's mounted to the metal tray has all the games EPROMs on it. Check the pins on the edge connector that plugs into the mother board. Make sure none are bent or broken..

I checked all the pins on the MPU, they are all straight. I am going to price boards.

Well guys, I picked up a known good board put my chips in and have the same error, I did a full reset reconfigure, same error. Any pics you need me to post? Any members in or near Henderson NV that would like to take a look at my machine? Thanks again guys! You're all awesome!

Are you getting the exact same door open messages that you had before (Door Open MCB)? The bill validator switch runs directly from the switch, through a couple of connectors, and to the motherboard. The main door optics go through the I/O card tray. I thought that even if there was something wrong with the IO board that the system would still see the BV door closure, but perhaps not. On the lower left side of the screen when you close the main door does the M go away (just shows Door Open CB), or does it still show MCB?

Actually it's just the main door emitter optic that goes through the IO tray, and it goes directly from P450 to the motherboard, the signal isn't processed by the IO cards in the tray. Also check P/J10 is properly connected on the motherboard. Your door optic receiver and cash drop door (C) signals both go through that connector.

I am still getting the same error "Door Open MCB", I don't get any closure when I open and close the doors at all. I will check the P/J10 connector and wires tonight.

I checked P/J10 connection , I checked all connections to the backplane, i think what I really need to do is check voltages and continuity, on everything leading to the bill/cash box area. I tried a different bill validator and cash box as well.

Your MPU doesn't seem to be seeing any doors close though, that's what has me baffled. What is this in the area of R24/25 above J10?

Yeah, that's what's left of a circuit trace that should be there. It's also part of the door status circuitry so I think you're on the right track. You'll have to pull the motherboard out to fix the trace, and also give both sides a good inspection for anything else that looks out of place. It's just a signal line, not anything that should be carrying the type of current that burnt the trace. Something must have shorted somewhere to cause that. Here's what it should look like.
