bally 1090-1 payout problems

HELP!!!! I have a 25CENT 1090-1 bally slot that overpays on cherries only. I hit a cherry the pay out should be 2 it pays 3 for 1 coin...if it should be 4 it pays 6 for 2 coins....if it should be 6 it pays 9 for 3 coins.... everything else pays correctly!! I adjusted the reel wiper contacts centered on the buttons. I did find 1.00$ markings on the contact wiper arms, is there a difference between a 25 cent contact wiper and a dollar wiper?   Thanks, JOE

Did you solve the over paying cherries problem?
Check to see if the wiper contacts for the cherries on the coin count move completely off there corresponding metal strip. Manual advance the counter 2 times and visually look and or check for continuity. There shouldn't be any continuity as the wiper contacts should have moved off the metal and on to a neutral area, the space between the metal strips. The coin counter most likely will have to be removed to be checked.

Your zero switch stop might require adjusting. That's the eraser like stopper on the hopper carriage.

You want to use your meter to make sure it leaves the 2 coin trace on the 2nd advance. If it doesnt you will get the extra pay. It is adjustd with a small allen screw on the top of the zero switch. That moves it either one way or the other. Be sure to lock the small hex screw back down so it doesnt move during regular play.
