What would a good price be for these 2 non working s2000's be?

Hello again,


I seem to be going a bit crazy with the new fixing slots habit lol.  I've been looking around and found someone selling a pair of 5 reel s2000s in non working condition but appear very complete.  Are these particular machines worth picking up cheap?

I guess the question is how cheap? They look complete with coin handling that adds a few bucks. Probably good project machines.  Themes are good but not that rare.

Hes asking 325 for the pair, but it's also a 3 hr drive....  I like the idea of changing one over to a Cleo perhaps....

That should be a good deal.  I believe both machines are clones of each other.  They use the same SB.

Yes they are non backlit. Personally I like those in 5 reel machines. They are not as noisy as the steel frame reels. Worked on a Dick Clark New Year's Rockin' Eve vision for a friend & that was the first ting I noticed about it.

The 5 reel upgrade kit is probably worth 125+
You would get more than the asking price if you were to just part them out.

Well, I made a deal and am driving out to get them this weekend.  At this moment it is my intention to only keep one of them and part or sell the other.  Let me know if any of you are looking for anything, I'm sure eventually I will throw up a classified ad.  Or I may sell my roundtop S+ forth of july machine instead.  I went from zero machines to 4 in a matter of weeks, I will have to slow this down a bit lol.  I would be very interested in converting an S2000 to Cleo if anyone knows of a game kit up for sale.....   I guess I need to see how bad these two are before I get too excited!

Good Cleo strips are extremely hard to find unless you buy a set of reproductions from Sunkiss Graphics.

wow, I will follow up with him on those!  Guess first thing I need to do is get these two machines home !!!   I was reading some others having issues getting cleo talking etc.  So it sounds like it may be a bit of a challenge.  I'm a total newbie ive just been jumping in with both feet lol.   :cool_thumb_up:

Ax a newbe I will give you some advice that I wish I had when I started this hobby.

DO NOT TURN OFF THE LIGHTS. This is very akeen to the movie Gremlins.

When you do - you will soon find that the machines will multiply, then your wife will start finding random game kits showing up by mail, parts, simm burners, etc. You can try to hide the addiction but it will get the best of you. As you succumb further next it will be progressive displays and then down the slope into harder and harder substances such as linked progressives, multiplatform TITO. Only when you think you have reached rock bottom you will find yourself combing the back roads of ebay late at night looking for casino signage and memorabilia and you really don't know or care who the seller is. All you know is that you need it. Want went out the window a long time ago.

I have proof in my living room... My slot machine went from one to two in a matter in 10 months, The lights tend to be on in the living room a lot so that may slow down the multiplying processes some... but I'm not sure, There must be a secret to get slot machine to multiply even faster lol
