On mine the resistor happens to be green. It is 47 ohms 5 watts, though a 10 watt will do just as well. It is wired across the relay coil, and its purpose is to suppress sparks on the wiper disk as the wipers move between segments. The other, smaller striped part is also a resistor. It's a 9.3k, one watt, and its purpose is to feed a small amount of current to the relay during that short interruption when the wiper changes segment, to stop it dropping out. YOU WILL NOT FIND A 9.3K RESISTOR ANYWHERE. It's a non standard value. Use a 10k, one watt if you've lost the original.
The coil you showed on page 1 of this thread can be repaired. What happened is one of the terminal tags on the white frame broke off, or more probably was torn off when it caught on something. The short stub of enamel wire is what's left, and a person skillful with a soldering iron can attach to that and reattach it. I suggest winding the wire of the resistor several times through the hole where the tag used to be, and soldering to that.
