Reboot problem

I am trying to clear, keychip and reboot my I-Game and keep getting the errors shown. I am not sure what is going wrong. Also I am not quite sure which keychip to use, 28 or 40. Any help? Thanks. Bill.

Key 28 is ONLY for GK Enhanced Flash Software (044)


Key 22 and Key 40 are the same if using in a 3902 CPU, Key 40 is Correct if using Enhanced CPU (044) with Legacy Adapter for Simm Software

Looks like Key 40 would be the correct Key for your situation, since you have an 044 board with the Legacy board piggyback.


Do you get the same error when you use a Key 40?

Sounds good! You'll get it with the Key 40!


By the way, you know that software is a matched set right? Just make sure it is a set, based on the error you are getting. Hopefully, it's just a matter of using the correct Key, but you never know.

OK. I did the clear with 40 keychip. Screen came up and I selected all three and did the clear. Replaced boot chip and got an eprom error. Turned reset key and the screen below is what I get. Bill.

Try cleaning the contacts on the PXL SIMM card and see if it clears up.

Verify the SIMM switch settings.  For that one it should be 1 - OFF 2 - ON 3 - OFF 4 - ON.  If those are OK then your SIMM card is likely corrupt/bad.

I received a SIMM card from one of our members and installed the card and it cleared up the problem. The game had a bad SIMM card. Thanks everyone. Bill.

I had this game up and running fine. I did some cleaning and now I get a EPROM error/ Error string not available. I tried a couple of clears but still get the same error. This one is driving me nuts. Any help? Thanks. Bill.

Is there a way to figure out which one is bad? I tried reseating the backplane chip and that did not cure the problem. Bill.

replace it (the removable one).  borrow one from another machine if you have to just to test it
