504 board- clear chip 224- 2nd amber never gets past flashing

trying to clear and key an s2000 with a 504 board. new battery, varta removed, zero battery damage.  with a 224 chip, the first amber comes on, then after a few secs, the 2nd amber flashes, never lights solid. never saw this before. before all this, it comes up with an eprom error. turn the key, follow the prompts, it does it thing and eprom error was back. door optic bypassed thru cherry switch. it did worked for a little while till the error than i cant know get rid of.

Sounds like eeprom error not eprom. Try replacing the 24c16 chip on the mother board.

i was thinking the same thing, but i just found a bent pin on the mpu. i'll check and let you know

Depending on what amber led is blinking either your srams or the eeprom on the motherboard is bad.

Think there was a page on the MPU LED codes deciphered in the uploads....not sure?
