Even if I try different stuff It still feels like it slips to early if you know what I mean? And as you can see the drive lever assy are always in the wrong resting position comparing to all my other games, are you agree that they are in wrong position ?
I changed the roll pin and it looks more tight now so that can’t be it, and I tried to see the other roll pins and they all look good too.
Do you know if there are different of the two drive lever assy that I use?
the 22 on the drive levers is the number of stops on the reel. I'd guess that 2210R is a revised version of the 2210. Whether it makes a difference ... dunno. You'd probably need to swap the 2210R into the mustang and see. If the upper pin is higher on the arm or the arm angle is different, then it would change the engagement in the index disc slot.
wrt to rest position of the drive levers, the pics in post 4 are with the game wound up to the highest notch on the safety ratchet. Is the measured difference the geometry of the drive lever, or is the main shaft rotated a different amount?
per the 2600 manual, spring changes were made in November 1974 to the right side of the reel mech that gave "a better reel spin, added performance, and longer life", so the 1039 should have some differences assuming the 903 wasn't retrofitted or made after the changes went into production.
however, the games never would have had a reel spin of less than a revolution of the reel, so if you are seeing that, there's definitely a problem.
