Game King bill validator error options verification required on IGT Game King

I bought several IGT Game King machines with 3902 boards and I replaced the batteries in all of the boards and when I boot them up I get this error: bill validator error options verification required. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Options verification required is an informational message and normal after the system memory has been cleared. 

What exactly is the bill validator message?

It just says bill validator error. I put a known good bill validator in the machine but I guess it doesn't like it, if the error options verification required is normal. I will order a new one and see if that fixes it. I do not know much about what I am doing. Just crawling through it all. I did not know when you need to buy a key chip to clear the machine. Should I do that when I put a game tray in and boot the machine up?

Normally GK messages are shown in a black box on the screen.  Yours is on a solid blue screen.  Typically the BV Error would be more specific such as Bill Validator Comm error, Bill validator CRC error, etc. 

Post a picture of the game software installed on the MPU board, I'd like to see what it is.

I can't make out the numbers on the software chips.  Can you post the numbers of the base chip and GME's? 

The error message dialog box I was expecting to see is like your last photo that shows "Main Battery Low".

It's pretty common to get a CRC mismatch error when swapping BV's but that blue screen is not common at all.  Check for a bent MPU pin going to backplane and make sure MPU board is slid in snug into the backplane.

I reseated the board to the backplane and it now gives me this error. Any ideas how to fix it?

Press the MPU self test button, then touch setup, machine options, denom setup.  Set an accounting denomination and exit. 

Do you have a Keychip for it?  It should let you set it the first time without one, but any subsequent changes will need a keychip and some other options require a keychip too.
