3902 no device tab in keychip

Hi all. Working on a 3902, used both 22 and 40 keychips. The menu is super basic with no devices button to enable printer or disable the hopper. When I access the menu after game load, I can change hopper settings but it won’t let me enter 0 to disable the hopper. Just goes back to 100. Any direction would be appreciated.

There's another page (peripherals)where you disable hopper and coin accepter and enable printer.

And the keychip menu should come up before the game loads.

I see security level 1. That is not normal.  Is this an international set?

Unknown. The roms and cards are all custom labeled. The denom comes up us as normal, but it has a netplex menu button after keychip in the main game menu that you have to auto configure the bv and spectrum. The bv communicates and sets up, but the spectrum does not. Wondering now if the printer is simply not working (there’s power and the feed and cut buttons work) but maybe it was just put in and not flashed to igt?

Using JP reset key see if you can get to accounting/next page/version accounting. Wait for screen to load , it will give you some numbers. Maybe someone will be able to ID it.

If MPU is showing two led lights only, turn machine off and put base back in. It should boot to keychip menu.

That it did, I’ll try again. I’ve moved in to machine 2, but will check in a bit.

Still no go. Since it stuck on the screen, there was no eeprom reset so it gave me the credits still on machine error. Power cycled and back to original settings.

You cannot just key with credits on machine, it has to be cleared first.  Try the 22 again and clear all memory/ram.  Then keychip with the 17 (two amber lights) afterwords and setup machine/game.

G000576 does not support multi denom or ticket printer. Maybe that is way you can not find some of the menu buttons you are looking for. If you want it to handpay, set the hopper limit to 0 if allowed or to 1 denom unit. Whether you use key 17/37 or 22/40 clear/key should not be a factor.

Thanks Ron! Chasing my tail there! Well now we know. I was able to get the hopper disabled in the menu like you said, but on the credit config menu, I had to change jackpot to hand pay first, then I could set the hopper to 0.
