How to test optics w/o power

Hello all,

I am still trying to fire up my RWB. Changed battery, still reels, lights but no display or errors, fuses ok with meter, reset button does nothing...

Is there a way to check optics with a meter without power?

Cabinet side read resistance with a dmm and put a flame in front of it.

The cabinet side optic is a receiver optic.

With a dmm  (Digital Multi-Meter) and the flame of a lighter flickering in front of the receiver optic, you should get a fluctuating reading of ohm resistance...if the receiver optic is good.
