Not sure if this is the correct place to post this question but since it's intent was to be used on my Bally 809, it seemed most appropriate.
I purchased a Riviera slot glass on eBay to upgrade the Riviera glass I have but the seller misstated the size as 15x8 and when it arrived I saw it was something like 17 1/2x8. I'm in a dilemma because I also collect Riviera stuff and this upgrade is a fine specimen of a glass from 1972. Of course the seller when contacted flippantly just replies "if you can't use it, send it back" and of course what else could he say, so here's my question/s...
#1 Compared with my other glass on the back, the application of the picture looks different and I was wondering the likelihood of a reproduction?
#2 On my old glass I can't see any of the Bally markings under the black tape and was wondering if it's possible the Riviera only came this size and were cut down to size for the 800 series? Seems far fetched but just asking because the center pics are the same size and just the length of the gold color is different.
Any other thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jim
