Monitor not coming on

Yes the old board was a 1493. The board I purchased was the same. At the time I bought the replacement I didn't know if it was the power supply, the power distribution box or the monitor. So for a couple of years I kept looking to purchase another GameKing that worked of course.
To check all the above. Turned out that it was the 1493 board on the monitor. I swapped out the good board  and installed it into my first GameKing and it worked. So that told me that the tube was good and also the power supply and the power distribution box. So now I have replacement parts except for the 1493 monitor board. Don't know what's wrong with the new board that I purchased. Could not sent it back at the time because I didn't know if it was bad.  Maybe when I get some money ahead I will have someone take a look at it. But anyway I took a pic of the board where the power connects to it and it looks be be correct for 230 volts.

You might want to reach out to Alan at K-Lar. He’s in Vegas and he repairs these I believe. With it being setup for 230V I couldn’t test it even if I had a monitor. To convert that to 115V I believe you just remove those 2 diodes. I’m surprised you machines running on 230V🤔..

It's an older 13" GK.  He's in the US, so the machine is running on 115VAC, but the monitor still requires 230VAC.   There's a 1:2 step up transformer inside the power distribution box that steps up the 115VAC to 230VAC when used with 115VAC line voltage.  If it was being used in a country that has 230VAC as the line voltage then the wiring harness you install for it changes it to a 1:1 transformer so the monitor still gets 230VAC.  That way one monitor works on both US and overseas line voltages.

Ceronix used to flat rate repair those boards too...not sure if they still do or not.

Thanks Tilt for that explanation. Ceronix has not repaired 1492 or 1493 chassis now for a couple years. I’ve gottten pretty good fixing the 1492’s, but I have not tried to fix a 1493. I’m sure it’s pretty much the same problems. I just don’t have any Flybacks for the 1493’s.
