PE+ Buttons stopped working

So I took apart the button plate to clean it up since it was full of rust and the chrome plating was coming off.  I took photos of each switch and what wires went to what switch, etc.  Fast forward a few hours later, and 4 out of 5 switches wont work anymore.  Anything I should be looking at?

The PE+ button switches are connected in series (daisy-chained), so if one of them is disconnected all the others down the line won't work either. So look for a problem with the first switch in the sequence that doesn't work and the switch just ahead of it. Look carefully at the wiring, you'll see a set of wires for the button light, and another set of wires for the button switch. It's the switch wires you want to double-check.

Whenever something goes south after you've done work on a machine the first thing to check is the work you just did. The check it again.

on my panel, starting from the left, its top left is Change, below it is Cash Out, to the right is bet one credit, then two bigger buttons Spin Reels and Bet Max...(i don't have a poker version)...the only one that will work is the center one..spin reels...this is driving me nuts lol

Ok so update. Got 4 out of 5 to work. Can’t get the change button to work which is only two wires. Hmm
