Need help with a IGT bonus poker machine

Im new here so sorry if Im in the wrong area. I found a 25 cent IGT Bonus poker machine. I had to cut off and order a new lock then cleaned out the coin comparator jammed with dirty tokens. Everything appears to be in working order but this is my first machine since I lived in Las Vegas. No keys and I dont know what to do next. It does not register credits and coins fall into the tray. It was $500 and for Idaho thats pretty good since we dont have much selection.

In the coin path, the coin first passes through a coin comparator then passes an ABC optic (small square board with 3 sensors). If it passes both of these tests then a solenoid is pulled back and the coin goes to the hopper and a credit is issued.

The first thing to check is if you have a sample coin in the comparator.


The coin comparator is mounted in the door - and will have either CC-16 (small coin) or CC-33 (large coin) on it.
The CC-33 is for dollar sized tokens and larger, and the CC-16 is quarter and smaller.



I would suggest that if you are not going to use the tokens, then you switch to quarters if its a CC-16 otherwise dollars for CC-33.

On the ABC optic there is a tiny (tiny) button that you can use to put a test credit on the machine when the door is open.
Let us know how this goes then we can go from there.

Thank you very much . The bill acceptor will take bills but not register credits also. I would like to stay with quarters since this is just for memories of my gambling days in Las Vegas. Let me know if Im not posting or replying in the correct area of this site. I have low vision but can figure it out.

Does it take bills then spit them back out ? or does it actually put them into the cash can ?Does the bill bezel light up ?? We will need a SET Chip to activate the Bill Validator.
What kind of Bill Validator: DBV 145, 200, WBA 11,12,13,23 ??



Basically the Set Chip tells the machine how many credits to give for a $1.00


Some people will use the SET chip to give 100 credits for a $1 but yet use quarters for the actual machine just as a fast way to get credits on the platform.


If you reach out  to the vendors on our home page you can get a SET chip and a Clear chip. You rarely need the clear chip but the cost of shipping usually exceeds the cost of the chips so best to get both at the same time.


To use the set chip you turn the machine off, pull the MPU board, swap the game chip for the set chip, turn on the machine follow the onscreen instructions, turn off the machine, swap the chips again. Your then good to go with the bill validator.

Do you have credits via vi coin working ?
