S2000 Back lit controler board question..

I have a question on IGT S2000 back-lit controller boards.. I just got 2 in and they are different and I was wonder if it matters? Is one for a 5 reel game and the other a 3 reel game, (what I need)??  One has an extra black plug and a set of dip switches, and the other has 4 plugs and no dip switches.. Will both work in a 3 reel back lit machine?

Yep,  They will both work,  The one with more plugs is a newer version and for expansion.  There is also another version now that I think of it that has More micro molex black plugs on them.  All the newer is backwards compatible.

The newer version with more black connectors is also compatible with LED reel harnesses.

The one with the dip switches is more commonly found in 5 reel machines or multi line games.

Pop one in and give it a whirl -Yep I forgot that to- The led reels.  There is another that has lot's more plugs also but over the years I found out they were all backwards comp.
