igt s+ reel error

i have a $1 double diamond that has a most the time error 43 reel error but changes other times to 42 error and sometimes a 41. when i turn the machine off then reboot it it will spin erratically 3-4 times then give me the error, the reels have a hum sound and when i feel them it comes from the reels, i've moved all the reels to different places and put in new reels with the same luck well no luck I have also tried the clear chip that helps for about 3-4 spins than back to the errors if it even gets the 3-4 spins, any help would be appreciated I'm lost .

here's a few things to check:

1.  check all the reels and make sure there is nothing rubbing against any of them. 
2.  check reel cable connection to motherboard
3.  check door optics

I've tried all 3 with no luck, installed newer reels and old reels in different spots as well, tried all reel connections and with the door optics they seem to work when i close the door it starts trying to spin the reels like a normal door open/close, if i'm wrong the optic if bad wouldn't let the machine try to spin the reels on a door close?

do reels spin ok with door open when first power slot on?  do tou get error codes with door open?

sometimes on power up door open the reels spin other times no.. this machine worked fine for awhile then one day it started with the the reel errors

Let's try this:
1. Power off
2. Power on
3. Close door, wait for insert coin message
4. Insert coin and spin

Does it start the spin and then give you the error?

16MHz chip in a 10MHz board, or vice versa?  That generates weird reel errors.

Can you please post a picture of your MPU (processor) board?  Be sure to turn the power OFF before removing or inserting the board.
