Igt coin out error/no hopper

I have an igt slot with no hopper. Was playing it and now says I have a coin out error/closer M. How do I fix this?

Welcome to NLG. First have you tried opening and closing the door and making sure the latch is all the way down? Next make sure the bill door is closed or the switch wired in bypass. Lastly with power off pull the MPU out and inspect the Green Varta battery on the board. If it has leaked acid it could be your board is ruined as the traces under that battery control door closure sensors.

Thank you for your response. I went ahead and followed your instructions, checked the door to make sure it was seated correctly and checked the mpu. Still getting the same on the screen, coin out jam closer M.

What is the voltage reading on the round coin battery on the MPU. If it is below 2.8 it will require replacement.
